About Keepwell
Why I created Keepwell

Kia ora, I'm Diego Opatowski. Through my career filming within New Zealand's NGO sector, I have witnessed incredibly passionate people working relentlessly to support their communities. Often, their steady, caring work does not receive the recognition or distribution it deserves, and the grants or support they offer can be difficult to find.
Keepwell is my way of giving back. It is a dedicated platform that promotes the work of Aotearoa's community organisations and government agencies. The site showcases the good work being done across the country, told plainly and without distraction. Keepwell is built to be accessible to everyone: there are no paywalls, no required sign-ups, no individual reader tracking, and no clickbait.
How Keepwell works
Keepwell highlights community organisations and the government agencies that support them by sharing new services, programmes, campaigns, available grants and wellbeing information. The platform is organised into key focus areas, including mental health, Pasifika, Māori, disability and rainbow communities.
To ensure trust and accuracy, every piece of information is strictly verified:
- Official sources only: content is drawn exclusively from an organisation's official website, media release, or a government agency page.
- Rigorous checking: Articles are compiled using both manual and automated tools, then checked line-by-line against the original source before publication.
- Direct links: every story links directly back to its original source, so readers can verify the information first-hand. Stories may quote short passages, always credited.
- Grant verification: grant details are rechecked against the funder's page weekly, and daily during the final week before a deadline. Applicants should always confirm details directly with the funder.
- Accountability: if you spot an error, use the "Report an error" link on any article. All updates are openly documented.
Transparency and funding
Keepwell is published, funded and curated by Antworks Studio, a video production company I run that collaborates with NGOs, government agencies and ethical brands. Keepwell does not sell coverage, placements or advertising. In the interest of full transparency, if an article features an organisation that Antworks has previously worked with, a short disclosure note is clearly displayed under the article.
Share your news
If you represent a charity, NGO, community group or government agency, we want to help amplify your work. Please add [email protected] to your media release list. Keepwell reviews every release received and shares the announcements that matter most to the community, always pointing readers back to your official channels.
