Tamariki and their whānau can get active and colourful at the Daffodil Day Colour Run at Mitre 10 Park, Hastings, on Sunday 1 November 2026.

Organisers are aiming for more than 1,500 participants this year. A family-of-four ticket costs $20, and the run supports Cancer Society Hawke’s Bay.

Last year’s event attracted more than 1,100 participants and raised over $6,000 for Cancer Society Hawke’s Bay. More than 90% of participants said they would return.

“Funds raised in Hawke’s Bay helps us provide practical support, information and care to people and whānau affected by cancer across the region,” said Sushmita Chakravarty, Community Engagement & Fundraising Manager for Cancer Society Hawke’s Bay.

The day will have colourful powder stations, music, entertainment and community activities, building towards a colour finale. It is designed for people of all ages.

Schools, sports clubs, community groups and local businesses are backing the event. Vet Services Hawke’s Bay and Tremains Real Estate are new sponsors.

Tickets are $20 for a family of four, $5 for children under 16 and $10 for adults. They can be booked online.
