Diabetes New Zealand asks people to move 1 million minutes in November
Money raised will go to programmes that support tamariki, rangatahi and their whānau to live well with diabetes.
People across Aotearoa can move in any way they choose during November and add their minutes to a shared target of One Million Minutes.
Diabetes New Zealand is running the One Million Minutes challenge for diabetes again. All proceeds go to the organisation’s national and local programmes that support tamariki, rangatahi and their whānau to live well with diabetes.
Taking part means tracking and recording your minutes of movement through the month. Each person’s minutes count towards the collective target.
Diabetes New Zealand says joining is easy. Visit One Million Minutes, set up your profile and set your goal. Then spread the word and encourage others to sponsor you or sign up too.
People can log some practice minutes through October. The overall minutes will be reset to start afresh on 1 November.
To take the admin out of logging minutes, you can connect the Strava app to your profile.
