Whānau can now register their interest in Kahungunu Kainga homes in Hastings, with 3 homes available in Raureka this November.

The homes are part of the Whai Kāinga Whai Oranga Programme, an iwi-led initiative run by Ngāti Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated. The programme supports whānau wellbeing through secure, affordable housing, while helping whānau work towards owning a home.

In Raureka, the November homes are 2 two-bedroom homes at Oliphant Place and 1 three-bedroom home at Railway Road.

Two more homes will be available in December, in Saint Leonards and Mayfair. They are a three-bedroom home on Lovedale Road and a two-bedroom home on Anson Street.

Applications are open now. Whānau can register their interest through the Kahungunu Kainga housing website.

Questions can go to Tori Paewai, Project Kaiawhina for Kahungunu Kāinga, at [email protected].
